Nagaland wins 8 Gold medals in 4th South Asian International Games 2025

The All Nagaland Shaolin Kung-Fu Association in collaboration with Don Bosco Sports Academy, Dimapur Province has announced the results of the participants of the 4th South Asian International Games 2025, held at Shankhadol Karate Academy, Jorpati, Kathmandu,  Nepal from September 10 to 12.

Nagaland team won eight Gold Medals in different categories of the championship.

Junior Category:

Saronthung Christopher Yanthan- Under 13- 45 Kgs — Gold Medal (Kata)

Abdul Sahir Under 13 – 40 Kgs — Gold Medal (Sanda)

Paramita Paul Under 14 – 55 Kgs — Gold Medal (Kata)

Senior Category:

Namlang Zeliang Under 18- 50 Kgs — Gold Medal (Sanda)

Nyurhunlo Kent Under 23- 60 Kgs — Gold Medal (Sanda)

Ayhunlo Jude Khing 28- 70 Kgs — Gold Medal (Sanda)

Master’s Category:

Razouleu Caroline Sorunuo Under-80 Kgs — Gold Medal (Kata)

Meyiesielie Albert Sorunuo Under-115Kgs — Gold Medal (Sanda)

The Association said despite the worsening situation in Nepal, the participants could bring home eight Gold Medals. It said it was possible with the prayerful support and trust by the parents and guardians towards the Association, which completed the assignment at the given time.

It expressed gratitude to the parents and guardians, while also thanking Lady Deputy Grandmaster and Chief General (Honorary), Nono Teresa Sorunuo for guiding the team to Kathmandu and bringing laurels to the state.
