Nagaland’s Anti Narcotic Task Force conduct half yearly review meeting

Kohima: ADGP (L&O) encourages regular conduct of NCORD and ANTF meetings

The Nagaland State’s Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) conducted its half yearly review meeting on Monday at the DGP’s Conference Hall, PHQ Kohima. A press release from the Nagaland Police Department informed that the meeting was attended by Sandeep M Tamgadge, IPS ADGP (L&O) State Head of ANTF, IGP (CID) Vikram M Khalate, IPS Investigation Head of ANTF, other senior officers of PHQ, District Police Chiefs and District level ANTF Nodal Officers.

ADGP (L&O) welcomed the participants and briefed about the structure and function of NCORD and ANTF in the state.

The Department also informed that during the meeting, reviews on various points i.e. total number of activities that was carried out for the functioning of Narcotic Coordination (NCORD) at District level, the number of Meetings (NCORD and ANTF) conducted, the data uploaded on NIDAN Portal, Fingerprints uploaded on NAFIS portal, number of cases registered, number of vehicles confiscated, number of persons arrested and total number of illegal drugs and contraband seized for the last six months were discussed.

The ADGP (L&O) acknowledged the positive reports of all District Chiefs and encouraged to conduct the NCORD and ANTF meetings on regular basis and also reminded the District Chiefs to conduct awareness programme/events or campaign related to Drugs and Psychotropic substances.
