Nagaland’s ReDimension Games studio headed by Pekrukhrietuo (Pekru) made it to top 5 “Upcoming Game of the Year” at India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) scheduled to be held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad from November 2 to 4, 2023.
ReDimension Games is a joined effort of the trio-Pekru, Imlijungshi and Loyievi who shares the same passion and interest. Pekru works on programming and designing the game, Imlijungshi is the artist and animator of the game while Loyievi is the music composer.
Speaking to Nagaland Tribune, Pekru informs that the Studio was established in 2018 while the development of the ReDimension Games began in the start of 2022. “We wanted to work on a big project and that’s how the development of ‘Sojourn Past’ started,” says Pekru.
ReDimension Games ‘Sojourn Past’ is an action adventure game themed around the idea of dealing with grief. “The game is filled with our own artistic interpretation of the theme through its art, music and storytelling,” comments Pekru.
On making it to the Top 5 list of India’s premier and South Asia’s biggest and most significant game developer conference, Pekru is of the view, “As a studio we tend to keep expectations at a minimum. We are just focused on creating our best work. We really do appreciate being able to make it to the top 5.”
On its future plans, Pekru noted that the ReDimension team have many more projects planned for the future.
