Kohima: Naknyulüm celebrates triumph of good over evil

Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Ministers Yanthungo Patton and TR Zeliang have extended their greetings to the Chang community on the occasion of the Naknyulüm festival which is being celebrated on 31st July and 1st August 2024.

In his message, the Governor said that the festival marks “deliverance from darkness and coincides with the first harvest of the year” and hoped that it will bring peace and unity among the community.

Conveying warm greetings to the Chang community on the occasion of Naknyulüm, which celebrates the triumph of good over evil, the Chief Minister hoped that the festival will bring “blessings of good health, peace, and foster unity and goodwill among us.”

Deputy CM Y Patton said, “May the festival, which celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, foster renewed hope, prosperity, and happiness to every home. Happy Naknyulüm!”

TR Zeliang too wished that the festival brings brightness and prosperity in every home.
