BJP National Spokesperson and Nagaland in-charge Nalin Kohli refuted claims made by some “political tourists” that they have the support of the BJP and NDPP.

He alleged that parties like NCP and LJP never had any time for Nagaland but rushed to the state only during elections just to show that they care and asked such parties whether they had any organisational base in Nagaland. Kohli mentioned that leaders coming from Bihar, Mumbai or elsewhere were not serious about Nagaland and cared little. He termed such leaders as “political tourists” who have no political party on ground like the BJP and NDPP.
“I have heard that in Wokha, some other party is claiming that they have the support of the Chief Minister or the NDPP. I want you to know that is not correct, that is not the truth. Whether it is the NDPP or BJP, we have only one candidate and he is sitting here before you. He is a good candidate and he deserves your blessing so that he can strengthen our Government of NDPP and BJP after the Election,” added Kohli.
Stating this, he urged the people not to be misled by propagandas of the opponents and waste their votes by voting for such parties. He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi loved the Northeast, including Nagaland, and that under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio, PM-related schemes were implemented properly in the State in the last 5 years.
Highlighting the vision document of the BJP, he assured that the party’s agenda was for peace and development.

Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Yanthungo Patton at Wuzhuro in Wokha on 22 February.
Patton in his brief address assured that if voted to power he will look into developing the Wuzhuro ranges particularly in road sector and also work towards establishing at least one helipad.
“I once visited here on 12 May 2022 for a monolith inaugural programme, I saw that road conditions here was very pathetic.
“So I had a plan to look after the road by bringing central project but I could not fulfil my plan that particular time but today if you vote for Renponthung Ezung, BJP candidate, like the spokesperson have promised about bringing development to Wozhuro range, there will be development,” said Patton.
