National BJP chief JP Nadda welcomes new members from Nagaland to BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Tuesday welcomed the Naga leaders from different political parties and civil society organizations who were formally inducted into the party-fold at the BJP Headquarters in New Delhi on Monday.

The newly inducted members, led by BJP Nagaland state president Benjamin Yepthomi, met Nadda at his official residence in the national capital. Nadda welcomed them into the BJP family and expressed confidence that their joining would further strengthen the party’s presence and commitment to the people of Nagaland.

The new members included former minister from Atoizu constituency Doshehe Yepthomi; former MLA from Akuluto constituency Khekaho Assumi; retired DIG Richard Yimto; former Sumi Hoho president and former Nagaland Tribes Council president Toniho Yepthomi; former Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation president Tsapikiu Sangtam; Nagaland Congress state secretary Wangka Konyak; and former DMC candidate Toshi Walling.

According to the state BJP media cell, the induction marks a major step in BJP’s ongoing outreach and organizational expansion in the Northeast, particularly in Nagaland, as the party continues to gain support across diverse political and social sections.
