The office of the District Transport Office, Zunheboto in collaboration with the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Aghunato organised a one-day awareness programme on road safety on 29th January 2025 at Dobashi Court (DB) Office, Aghunato Town.

The awareness programme was held as part of the National Road Safety Month, conducted under the theme “Parwaah Karenges, Surakshit Rahenge” (Will take care to stay safe).

Speaking on road safety awareness, Er. Hukayi Awomi, ARTO emphasised on the importance of various rules and regulations to prevent road accidents, and dwelled on obeying road safety rules and the need of skilful and cautious driving so that passengers, pedestrians and drivers stay safe.

ADC, Aghunato D. Robin welcomed the participants during the programme, while N. Nchumbemo Kikon, AEI, chaired the programme, and vote of thanks was proposed by Albert Achumi, ATC.
