Nagaland Beekeeping & Honey Mission conducted the NBHM Painting Competition for School Students on 10th November 2023 at NBHM Multiplication Utility Centre (MUC), Chümoukedima. The theme of the competition was “Bee and Honey Trails: Garnering the Beekeeping Momentum”.
Moalemla Longkumer of Hollotoli School, Dimapur was awarded the first prize for her art while Sudip Biswas from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur and Linali Sumi from Delhi Public School, Dimapur won the second and third prizes.
Further, consolation prizes were awarded to Tolla Imlong from Maple Tree School, Aswaria Bahattacharjee from Holy Cross Higher Secondary School and Tinghoithing Hansing from DPS.

The prizes were presented to the winners by Obed Quinker, Chairman, NBHM while the judges for the competition were – award winning Naga artist Merimvü Doulo, who designed the Emblem of Nagaland, and Wapang Ozükum, award winning painter and sculptor.
The NBHM Painting Competition was organised in commemoration of the 5th edition of Nagaland Honey Bee Day, which falls on 5th December, with the objective to create awareness on honey bee amongst the student community and at the same time provide a platform for students to explore and expose their artistic talents.
Congratulations to the talented winners: Moalemla Longkumer, Sudip Biswas, and Linali Sumi, students whose artistic prowess shone in this competition.
