The Nagaland Board of School Education has announced the provisional results of the HSLC & HSSLC Compartmental & Improvement Examination 2023, conducted from 22 June 2023 to 28 June 2023.
In the HSLC Compartmental Examination 2023, 1510 candidates appeared, and 658 candidates passed, with a pass percentage of 43.58%.

For the HSSLC Compartmental Examination 2023, in the Arts Stream, 640 candidates appeared, out of which 364 candidates passed with a pass percentage of 56.88%. In the Commerce Stream, 88 candidates appeared, and 55 candidates passed, with a pass percentage of 62.50%. In the Science Stream, 223 candidates appeared, and 78 candidates passed, with a pass percentage of 34.98%.

In the HSLC Improvement Examination 2023, 30 candidates appeared, and 27 qualified. In the HSSLC Improvement Examination 2023, one candidate appeared and passed in the Arts stream, while 35 candidates appeared in the Science stream, and 18 passed the Improvement Examination.

It is worth mentioning that the Nagaland Board of School Education conducted the Compartmental Examination for HSSLC candidates for the first time. Additionally, the Improvement Examination for both HSLC and HSSLC candidates was held for the first time, allowing students to improve their grades or marks for pursuing higher education in their preferred subjects.

The HSLC & HSSLC Compartmental & Improvement Examinations 2023 were successfully conducted with the support and cooperation of the Centre Superintendents, Teachers, District Administration, Police, and Medical personnel.
