The Nagaland Board of School Education has informed that the guidelines for National Teachers’ Awards have been revised last year. The eligibility of teachers for consideration of awards is 10 years regular service, inclusive of teachers from Private Schools affiliated to State Board, it said.

In this regards, the Board has requested all DEOs/Sr.SDEOs/SDEOs to give wide publicity to the teachers to ensure maximum participation.

The National Teachers’ Award is meant to celebrate the unique contribution of the finest teachers in the country and to honour those teachers who through their commitment and industry, have not only improved the quality of school education but have also enriched the lives of their students and thereby strengthen the nation.
