The National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Kohima commemorated the International Youth Day under the theme “Youth as Agents of Change for a Sustainable Future” with a series of vibrant events that highlighted the energy, creativity, and potential of the youth. The Spokesperson of Ministry of Defence informed that the celebration was held at the C-hill, Kohima and was attended by Maj Gen Manish Kumar, SM**, IG Assam Rifles (North) as the Chief Guest.
The event was attended by cadets, officers, and dignitaries from various sectors, emphasizing the theme of International Youth Day 2024. Cadets participated in Push up, Pull up, Singing and Dancing Competitions with great zeal and enthusiasm, showcasing the rich talent and strength of the youth of Nagaland. These performances added color to the event and also highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting local talent in a rapidly globalizing world.
The event concluded with a pledge by the cadets to continue working towards a sustainable future, embodying the spirit of International Youth Day. The IG expressed pride in the cadets’ achievements and encouraged them to remain committed to the values of discipline, service, and nation-building.
