The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) celebrated Christmas cum fellowship programme today at its office building, Tsumang ‘A’ Colony Wokha Town.
The celebration event cum fellowship programme was attended by Yanrenthung Humtsoe, chairman MSME (PCI) Wokha as the special guest, attended by party workers from the district, youths and mahila along with senior party workers and party advisors.
Speaking at the event, Yanrenthung Humtsoe the special guest extended warm advent Christmas celebration to all the attendees and acknowledge the district NCP party workers for their efforts in organizing the event, which he acknowledge that it was first of its kind for the district to have celebrated a Pre-Christmas celebration programme for the party workers.
He expressed the growth and strength of the party under its visionary NCP state president Vanthungo Odyuo and elected legislators. While he also acknowledged Y.Mhonbemo Humtsoe elected MLA from Wokha district for all his support that the NCP Wokha district standing tall today. He urged the party men and women to constantly put extra effort, while reminding that political party growth is only through sacrifices and dedication.

He also informed the party workers to keep praying for their elected leaders, party members and also their five elected town councillors from the town. Reminding the party men and women, Humtsoe informed them that they are the foundations and act like the root of a tree, encouraging them to stand firm to the political stature.
While marking the celebration of Jesus Christ birth, he expressed that through the Christmas celebration brings joy, peace, unconditional love and prosperity.
In the programme chaired by Rhonthungo Kithan, president NCP Wokha, Lily T Humtsoe member of Wokha Town Councillor shared Christmas greetings on behalf of the five elected NCP town councillors of WTC. Thungjamo Tsanglao, Chairman Lotha Literature Committee & proprietor, Grace School Wokha delivered the Christmas message to the congregation. Lithungbeni general secretary Mahila Congress, NCP Wokha delivered a scripture, while Rosemary Lotha led the hymn and a musical piece was presented by members of 90s band.
