NDPP 24 Angetyongpang, Mokokchung Region holds Oath Taking & Felicitation Program to strengthen party bonds

Mokokchung: 67 individuals pledging commitment to party’s vision at event

The NDPP 24 Angetyongpang, Mokokchung Region conducted the Oath Taking & Felicitation Program, reaffirming their commitment to unity and shared goals. The event, held at the treasurer’s residence in Sungkomen Ward, Mokokchung, on 24 August 2023, witnessed the participation of dedicated party members and leaders.

In his presidential address, Mayangnungba, President of NDPP MKG Region, emphasized the party’s evolution from a regional entity to one with a national outlook. He underscored that effective communication remains pivotal to uniting a political party.

Speaking of the party’s role in governance, Mayangnungba highlighted that the PDA government has been in power for 5 years, marking the beginning of its 6th year. He specifically pointed out the significance of the 24 Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency’s affiliation with the NDPP party.

Reflecting on the party’s foundation, Mayangnungba recounted how the NDPP party emerged on May 17, 2017. Despite being a regional entity, the party’s outlook is staunchly nationalist, collaborating with other national parties at both the central and ruling levels. He noted the speedy registration with the Election Commission, occurring just five months after the party’s formation. This expedited process led to the party’s ascension to power under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio, following which it became an integral part of the PDA government.

Mayangnungba also commended the dynamic leadership of Rio and party president Chingwang Konyak, who have successfully secured a second term for the PDA government.

He expressed his optimism for the future of the PDA government, urging party workers to join forces and contribute their efforts to ensure its success. He took pride in NDPP’s growth, not only as one of the fastest-growing parties in the Northeast but also across India. He encouraged attendees to maintain their enthusiasm, suggesting that fresh ideas and dedication are crucial in serving the people through the party’s initiatives while also emphasizing the importance of a strong alliance for the party’s cohesive growth.

The President expressed gratitude to the relentless efforts of all party members, including those outside the limelight, and applauded the unique combination of rural and urban sectors within the constituency.

The event’s focus on oath-taking signified the inclusion of new members, with 67 individuals pledging their commitment to the party’s vision.

Nungshimayang, the President of the 24 Angetyongpang AC, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the members who have become an integral part of the party and united efforts to advance the AC’s goals. He highlighted the leadership of Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor for Water Resources, who has been a consistent presence since joining the NDPP party, and emphasized the party’s continued vitality.

Acknowledging the existence of 12 distinct units within the 24 Angetyongpang AC, Nungshimayang commended the unit leaders for their diligent work in enrolling new party members. He noted that the present day showcased the remarkable unity among party members.

With a total of 67 members within the 24 Angetyongpang AC, there are 22 active members in the AC itself, 22 in the Women’s Organization, and 23 in the Youth Organization. Nungshimayang highlighted that at the AC level, there are 823 active members and 4200 primary members, culminating in a grand total of 5090 members.

The event’s impact was further underscored by addresses from Arenla Pongen, President Women Organization, NDPP Mokokchung Region; Bendang Walling, President Youth Org NDPP MKG Region; Imsunungsang, President Agri & Allied Org. NDPP MKG Region; and Dr. Imtinungba, Vice President of the 24 A.C. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Anungla, President Women Org. 24 A.C, followed by a mass prayer.
