The handing over of Election Certificate to the 9 duly elected Candidates was held at the office chamber of ADC Chiephobozou, Kohima on 18th June 2024, DIPR has said.

17 candidates had filed their Nomination papers for the 9 Wards under Chiephobozou Town Council, however, 8 Independent candidates withdrew their candidature on 18th June 2024 and all 9 NDPP Candidates from 9 Wards won the Election Uncontested.

The winning Certificates were awarded to the successful candidates by Election Observer and Additional Secretary, S. Tainiu Khiamniungan in the Presence of ADC & Returning Officer, Chiephobozou Alemyapang Longchar, ARO and EAC, Chiephobozou Ane Khieya.
