The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has extended warm welcome and congratulated Ajay Kumar Bhalla on being appointment and sworn in as the Governor of Nagaland today.

The NDPP said the people of Nagaland look forward to his leadership in helping steer the State with his vast experience as a seasoned bureaucrat, having served as an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) till his retirement in 2024.

The NDPP expressed confidence that the Governor would help guide the Government of Nagaland led by the Chief Minister, especially with his invaluable experience as the Union Home Secretary, a post he held for five years, making him only the second officer to do so.  “This speaks volumes of his knowledge and dedication in serving the Nation. Nagaland is indeed honored to have a person of his caliber and background as the Governor of Nagaland,” it added.

The NDPP wished the Governor the very best during his tenure and said it would extend all support as and when needed while attending to the affairs of the State.
