N Chingwang Konyak, President of NDPP has issued an apology for his remarks on the ENPO-FNT issue on April 5 at the Wokha Election Rally,
In an apology undertaking issued by the Konyak Union (KU), N Chingwang Konyak acknowledged and accepts the responsibility for his actions which contravened the resolution set by the KU on March 30, 2024.
“I wholeheartedly tender my sincerest apologies for my indiscretion in commenting on the ENPO-FNT issue on 05th April 2024 at Wokha Election Rally, which is not related to my election campaign or rally. I understand the gravity of my mistake and assure that such actions will not recur in the future. In accordance with the resolution and to uphold the integrity of the KU, I pledge not to engage/comment on the ENPO-FNT issue in any further canvassing or election campaign activities in my individual capacity or in the capacity of the President of NDPP, Nagaland,” stated the NDPP President.

Further, Konyak stated that he continue to contribute his best and work for the upliftment and progress of the Eastern Nagaland People and the Konyaks.
The apology was signed In the presence of Y. Chingwang Wangsa, Vice President, KU, Ponglem Konyak, President, KNSK, T. Noklem Konyak, President, KSU, Z. Yato Konyak, Chairman, Sheong Village Council.
