The Angami Women Organization (AWO) on January 30 inducted its new team for the tenure 2024- 2026. The new team was inducted during an event held for the outgoing team of 2021-2023 at the AWO Ki, Kohima.

Neithono Sothu from the Southern Angami Women Organization (SAWO) has been appointed as the new President of AWO while Visosano H. Kuotsu from Western Angami Women Organization (WAWO) and Mezhülhouü from Northern Angami Women Organization (NAWO) will serve as the Vice Presidents of AWO.

The other executive members include: Shyien Vihienuo (NAWO) as General Secretary, Vilaseno Zao (SAWO) as Joint Secretary, Yievikhono Kitshü (WAWO) as Finance Secretary, Kevinguno Meyase from Chakhroma Women Organisation (CWO) as Property Secretary, Neilazonuo Keyho (CWO) as Treasurer, Shürhivino Nakhro (WAWO) as AWO Representative and Neilhouzono Nagi (WAWO) as the Advisor.

The AWO is the apex women organization of the Angami community which continues to build awareness and work for the welfare and upliftment of the Angami women as well as Naga women in general.
