The Nerhema Students’ Union observed World Environment Day 2024 with all the Educational Institutions in its traditional jurisdiction. On this day, the Union along with the students collectively cleaned up the waste, garbage dumps and also planted more than 100 varied tree saplings in its traditional jurisdiction covering the National Highway 2 from 10th mile Nerhe Phezha to DIET Colony Chiephobozou Town.
The adoption of planting varied tree saplings by the Union was initiated with the objective of helping inculcate responsibility in the students community, while also encouraging them to actively take part in caring for the environment by nurturing trees.
