A new village, Chongshen, has been inaugurated at Tuensang district on 24 March 2023. Rev. Achu Chang, executive Secretary, Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen (CBLT) consecrated the village, DIPR stated.

Speaking at the occasion, Nokchasashi, NCS, Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang thanked Chongshen Nyeba, the owner of the village, for his selfish contribution of the land to set up the village. The chief guest added that the village will face many challenges in infrastructure and development, just as every new village, but it can be overcome these problems through unity and cooperation.

Nokchasashi advised the Villager Council members to administer the village in accordance with the Nagaland Village Council Act 1978 and plan a better infrastructure for any developments in the Village. He assured, the gathering that his department is always ready to help them in the future.

Short speeches were delivered by Nusanglemba, President CKS, Koma Yangbou, VCC C/Khel, Chingmak, President CGOA.

The welcome note was delivered by B. Beshang, VCC Chongshen Village, and vote of thanks by W. Chollen DB. The programme was attended by public leaders from neighbouring Village and Wards, and Churches from Tuensang Town.
