The Nagaland Football Association (NFA), on behalf of the Nagaland football fraternity, has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Lt. P. Mongchua, former MLA and father of its General Secretary and MLA Benei M. Lamthiu.
P. Mongchua passed away at his residence in Tuensang on January 26.
“Lt. P. Mongchua was a respected former Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the 57-Thonoknyu Assembly Constituency and was known as a dedicated and renowned public leader, in whose demise we have lost not only a tall and significant leader but also a fatherly figure. However, he leaves behind a strong legacy of committed service for the people of Nagaland,” stated the Association.

It further conveyed its sincere condolences and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family during their hour of immense loss and grief.
“It is our prayer that the Almighty God grants strength and solace to the bereaved family members, especially our friend and colleague, Benei M. Lamthiu,” added the NFA.
