After thorough deliberation and consultation with the Sub Divisional Education Officer and Head Masters of the High Schools in the District, the Niuland District Administration has decided that the Administration Officers will adopt Government High Schools to improve the overall school status so as to improve the performance of the schools.
This decision was made during the monthly meeting of the Niuland District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) held today at the DC’s Conference Hall, Niuland, which was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, S. Athsangla.
The house also deliberated on various agenda and approved the including the proposals for posting of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Personnel for Niuland District. For the matter of Registration and Renewal of the societies, the House decided that thorough scrutiny will be done and non-performing societies will not be renewed.
Further, the Board deliberated on the urgent posting of department officers and construction of office building of various departments like DRDA, Treasury Office, Post Office, Transport, Labour & Employment, Fire & Emergency, Soil & Water Conservation, Water Resources, Evaluation, Economics and Statistics, Home Guard & Civil Defence, Urban Development, IT & Communication and New & Renewable Energy which were forwarded to the concerned department for approval.
Officers from Social Welfare Department gave a power point presentation on their activities in the district.
