The Niuland District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held today at DC’s Conference Hall in Niuland.

According to a DIPR report, at the meeting the DC and Vice Chairman DPDB Niuland Sara S Jamir stated that 2023 would be the year of eradication of proxy teachers in the district. The DC urged all the officers and public leaders to cooperate with the authorities.

In line with the grievances and problems highlighted by the DEO of Niuland, Jamir informed the DEO to prepare a proposal for the upgradation of the high school to a higher secondary school since the district has only one higher secondary school.

In addition, the report stated that the following agendas were deliberated and approved during the meeting – recognition of Heveto village under Kuhuboto sub-division, report of Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) by all the HoDs, and highlight on Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI).

DEO Niuland Bohovi Yeptho while delivering a departmental presentation highlighted various achievements and problems in the department including the inclusion of the Kuhuboto division into Niuland DEO which is presently under SDEO Dimapur.
