The Niuland District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on March 15 at DC Conference Hall, Niuland under the Chairmanship of Sara S. Jamir, Deputy Commissioner and Vice chairman DPDB Niuland, informed DIPR.

Establishment of separate DRDA Office with posting of Project Director for Niuland District; Establishment of Treasury Office; Upgradation of Branch Post Office and Establishment of additional SBI Bank at Old Showuba were deliberated, approved and forwarded to the concern department for necessary action. The meeting reaffirmed the previous recommendation for urgent establishment of Police outpost at Khaghaboto (Grey area) where murder/ murder related cases is being reported almost every year.

The Board also forwarded to the government for establishing 12 different departments which is yet to be established in the district.

DC also requested all the district officers to be present in the station and apply for station leave in case the officer is leaving station.

Officials from Food and Civil Supplies Departmental presented departmental activities through power point.
