Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board (NKVIB) in collaboration with Glocal Concepts Nagaland (GCN) is organising a three-day Skill Training Program for Rural Employment from 9 to 11 August 2023 at Longkhim Conference Hall under Tuensang district.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, H Sethrongkyu Sangtam, Advisor for IT and Communication, E&S, Evaluation expressed gratitude to Neiphrezo Keditsu, Chairman, NKVIB and Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang for making the efforts for the upliftment of the communities. He hailed the collaboration with GCN to provide skills training for people in rural areas.

The advisor encouraged all the participants to utilise such trainings with aims to equip with knowledge and skills in order to gained for higher yield in income generation for the betterment of livelihood. He also emphasized on employment, which does not only categorise and particularise government jobs but also everything that generated income. Further, Sangtam urged the trainees to be dedicated, sincere and have a clear conviction to make something good out of it.
Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, DC Tuensang was also present in the training programme.
Altogether, 361 people registered online and are undergoing the skill training at Longkhim in four separate rooms for food processing, bee keeping, soap making and carpentry.
The opening program was chaired by S Akhaba Sangtam, Additional CEO, NKVIB while invocation was pronounced by Rev Y Imtiba, Executive Secretary, USBLA, Yangli. Longkhim Town Baptist Church performed a special number and vote of thanks was delivered by Kezhangulie Kire, President of GNC.
