In a bid to foster international parliamentary ties and enhance the role of public representatives, the Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Sharingain Longkumer, along with Khruohituonuo Rio, Secretary-In-Charge of NLA, joined the 9th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference. The event, which took place from August 20th to 23rd, 2023, witnessed the convergence of prominent leaders and officials at Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Graced by the inauguration speech from Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, the conference served as a platform for discourse on crucial matters of governance. According to DIPR, distinguished speakers, including the MP & Chairperson of the CPA Headquarters in London, the Governor of Rajasthan, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, and the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, presented their perspectives on pressing issues.
