Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), has urged the Federation of Motorsports Council India (FMSCI) to nurture local talents while stating that there is no shortage of talents in Nagaland when it comes to sports.

He was speaking at the inaugural programme of the 2-day Indian National Autocross Championships (INAC) hosted by the Adventure and Motorsport Association of Mokokchung (AMAM), in collaboration with the Bangalore Motor Sports, under the aegis of FMSCI at Rempukong, Ungma, Mokokchung on 4 November 2022.

Reminding the gathering that the venue has been identified for the laying of Astroturf football ground, Longkumer stated that events such as the autocross provides a glimpse to the possibilities that will eventually unfold in the years to come.

He added an event of this magnitude is very important for the people as this place (Ungma) has been earmarked to become the sports destination in Mokokchung, he said.
