NMSUB visits NGO-run school in Bihar as part of 4th general conference

Bihar: Team distributes stationeries and food packets to students

The Nagaland Medical Students’ Union Bihar (NMSUB) held its 4th annual general conference On the 4th and 5th August 2023 and visited Aixin Educational Centre, a school run by a Naga family in Patna, Bihar as part of its conference.

The education centre, named ‘Aixin’ after the Chinese word meaning “love or compassion”, was established in 2014 by Watikumla Lemtor and Longzochang Imchen under the aegis of “Youth with a Mission”. The primary aim of the school is to provide education to children who are denied their right to education due to social and economic factors.

Currently, Aixin Educational Centre caters to 53 preschool students, who are taught by a team of six dedicated teaching staff led by Watikumla Lemtor.

The visit to the school was a led by Imchen and a team of three specialist doctors, one intern, and 20 medical students from NMSUB. During their visit, the team from NMSUB distributed stationeries and food packets to the students and engaged in an interactive session with them.
