To mark the beginning of the formation of a new committee under the New Market Youth Organisation (NMYO) Kohima called “New Market Youth Force”, and in honour of Mother’s Day, the new NMYO team visited the elderly and bedridden mothers in the colony on Saturday.

The youth team took the initiative to wash the hands and feet of the elderly and ailing mothers, chopped firewood for them, and also handed them gift packs containing essential items like soap, detergent, milk, sugar, tea leaves, gathered through contributions from the New Market executives..

The activities were initiated by Pelhouzetuo-ü Rame. This NMYO new team is made up of members from different tribes, Sema, Konyak, Rengma, Chakesang, Yimchunger, Zeliang, Poumai and Angami who have come together with the sole purpose to serve the community, a press release from the organization said.
