The NNC Lotha Region held a meeting at the Tourist Lodge Resort, Wokha, on October 22 to elect leaders dedicated to advancing the Naga political solution.
On September 4, 2024, National Council (NNC) Lotha Region (under Yillow Humtsoe) and the NNC led by ‘Gen.’ (Retd.) Thinoselie M. Keyho had unified to work together therefore new leaders were elected.
The newly elected members are as follows: Ekyimthung Patton as President, Yanjamo Yanthan and Nchumbemo Kithan as Vice President, Thungchanbemo as General Secretary, Tsenjamo Humtsoe as Joint Secretary cum Finance, Limhathung Tanglao as Treasurer, and Tsumomo Yanthan and Riphamo Kithan as Advisors.
It was resolved in the meeting that the group would work collectively on the Naga political issue, guided by the principles of the 1929 Simon Commission, the May 16, 1951 Naga Plebiscite, and the August 14, 1947 Naga Independence Declaration in pursuit of Naga sovereignty. The group has appealed to all those who stand for Naga sovereignty to join in their cause for Naga National Rights.
