The Second edition of Mister Mokokchung 2022 was organised by Brotus Inc with Sashila Ozükum, Administrator and proprietor, Hope Academy, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. Jentiren Jamir, 2nd Runner-up of Miss Nagaland 2022 also graced the event as the Guest of Honour   at Just A Venue (JAV), Mokokchung on 29 December.

The glamorous evening witnessed nine handsome and equally talented men vie for the coveted title of Mister Mokokchung 2022.

In the second edition of the pageant, Nochetlong a BA 2nd semester, English Honours student of Jubilee Memorial College hailing from Khensa village was declared the winner.

In the question-and-answer round, Nochetlong was asked “can handsomeness get you far in life?” his answer set him apart from the other eight competitors and subsequently secured his win.

Nochetlong answered: “I don’t think only handsomeness can get you far in life as in today’s world we also need an intelligent mind as well as a great personality, as to me if someone is to have a handsome look without any knowledge of how to live or communicate with the society, he/she would be useless as people would think them as uneducated”.

Nathan Aier, bagged the 1st Runner-up. Aier is pursuing MA in Political science from Nagaland University, Lumami.

Sashikumzuk Rongsen Longkumer bagged the 2nd Runner-up, a class 12 student from Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung.

Besides the coveted titles, six other subtitles were also awarded:

Mr Runway: Rohit Yadav; Mr Talented: Nathan Aier; Mr congeniality: Nochetlong; Mr Photogenic: Imlilong Ajem; Mr Perfect 10: Nochetlong and People’s Choice Award: Nathan Aier.
