The Shamatore Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North)/7 Sector AR is on a drive to distribute essential winter clothing to elderly people and stationery to children in the villages of Dan, Lengyu and Tswao of Noklak district.

The drive is set to take place on 23–24 January.

The team from Company Operating Base (CoB) Noklak and Dan have endeavoured to assist and provide for those villagers in need in the Area of Responsibility of Dan Company Operating Base.

In their efforts, they were able to reach out to a few old age people in need of essential winter clothing for sustaining the prevailing harsh winter. This is one of the many goodwill measures taken up by the team of CoB Dan in their Area of Responsibility, the organisers stated.

The initiative and commitment of the Assam Rifles were highly appreciated by the proprietors who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Battalion for their kind gesture.
