Dr Pritpal Kaur, IPS, who has served for two years and three months as Superintendent of Police, Noklak, was given a farewell in the presence of District Administration, NGOs and well-wishers today at SP Office, Noklak.
Dr Kaur, in her speech, gladly expressed that Noklak is not a district but an emotion and a family.
Kaur expressed her gratitude to the organisations, administration, Police Department and individuals for their co-operation and manpower for the upliftment of the district. She pointed out the improvements observed in the jawans over the years and further encouraged them to continue their good service in future.
Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Hiazu Meru, acknowledged Dr Kaur for the outstanding service rendered by her.
She is one of the most knowledgeable persons who participated socially in an active way, he stated.

Meru mentioned that Noklak was recognised even at the national level through Dr Kaur’s innovative ideas. Stating that she is good at value addition, he commented that Kaur is a perfectionist.
Apart from work, it will be the personal relationship which was built that will be remembered, the DC stated.
Additional Superintendent of Police Noklak Chinese Chakesang, on behalf of the units, said Dr Kaur was confirmed as the SP of Noklak after much deliberation by the Government of Nagaland and Police Department, and that it turned out to be a blessing.

He added that Kaur fulfilled the trust and repaid the measures in full for which Kaur would also have no regret.
Various organisations gave short speeches during which they conveyed their gratitude towards Dr Kaur for her dedication and contributions. “The seeds sowed will be reaped one day,” said Hangthing, president of the Thang Range Public Organization.

A few individuals also gave speeches expressing their gratitude towards Dr Pritpal Kaur. “She is a woman of high spirit who boldly represents not only women community but as a whole,” said a youth who also added: “Despite her noble status, she helps the needy.”
“As a community, we had certain dreams to fulfil but we had less knowledge on how to pursue it. It was Dr Pritpal Kaur who directed us in many ways. She has even reached the unreached and we are glad for her and us,” said another youth.
The program was chaired by ASI Imtineken, DEF Noklak. The invocation was pronounced by Penglang, pastor of Longdon Baptist Church, Noklak.
Special numbers were presented by Mucham and UBC/113 Paou.P.
The vote of thanks was given by H Pongom, Unarmed Branch Sub Inspector, while the benediction was delivered by Muno, chaplain of Police Baptist Fellowship, Noklak.
Presentations were given to Dr Kaur by various individuals and organisations.
