Days after landslide and mudslide damaged properties and disrupted life in Choklangan Village in Noklak district, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman DDMA Noklak, Arikumba has issued an advisory to ensure the safety and well-being of the public during the monsoon season.

The DC stated that it is important to take necessary precautions and to stay informed about potential risks and safety measures.

Stay informed: Keep yourself updated about weather conditions and forecasts.

Avoid flooded areas: during heavy rainfall avoid wading through floodwaters and be extra cautious when crossing bridges or moving near water bodies.

Be cautious while traveling Exercise caution while traveling, especially on roads that are prone to flooding or landslide. If encountering heavy rains and reduced visibility, consider postponing one’s journey until the weather improves.

Stay away from power lines: Be aware of the presence of electrical power lines and avoid approaching them, especially in wet conditions. Report any fallen or hanging power lines to the relevant authorities.

Look out for vulnerable individuals: Keep an eye on the elderly, children, and people with special needs.
