A user interaction meet for Plan of Action in geospatial applications and demonstration of North East Spatial Data Repository (NeSDR) was organised jointly by the Nagaland GIS & Remote Sensing Centre (NGISRSC) and North Eastern Space Application Centre (NESAC), Department of Space, Government of Nagaland on December 14, at the Training and Capacity Building Centre, NGISRSC.

The meet was graced by R Ramakrishnan IAS, Principal Secretary and Development Commissioner, Govt. of Nagaland. Appreciating the activities of the Nagaland GIS, Ramakrishnan encouraged the participating line departments to join hands and utilize many benefits of space based geospatial application for societal benefits.

Dr. Dibyajyoti Chutia, Head, Geoinformatics and IT (GID), North Eastern Space Application Centre (NESAC) presented a scientific topic on the Emerging technologies and demonstrated the NeSDR live on Governance application.

Earlier Er. M Kithan, Project Director, NGISRSC welcomed all participants and highlighted about the meet and the Plan of Action activities that are being taken up with various line departments.

Altogether 15-line departments participated in the user meet.
