The Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) convened its 1st Union Assembly for the tenure 2025–2027 on November 26 at Hotel de Oriental Grand, Kohima. The assembly marked an important milestone for the union as it formally set the tone for its activities and initiatives for the coming term.
A total of 20 affiliated units, participated in the programme. The gathering also witnessed the gracious presence of the Advisory Board members, former Presidents, and several senior leaders, whose presence added significance and depth to the deliberations.
The session was chaired by the Union Assembly Speaker, Vilakhozo Pienyü, while the proceedings were formally recorded by the Union Assembly Secretary, Mengukhrietuo Viluo. The programme began with a welcome address by the Executive Council President Meteitoulie Talie.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks pronounced by the Union Assembly Deputy Speaker, Keduotseizo Seyie, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, unit representatives, and participants for their active involvement.
Throughout the assembly, members deliberated on a wide range of matters pertaining to the academic and other matters concerning the welfare of the students’ community. The 1st Union Assembly 2025–2027 concluded on a positive and forward looking note, reaffirming NASU’s continued commitment to work collectively for the progress and welfare of the Northern Angami student community.
