The Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) has announced that the 1st Nagaland
Pickleball Open will be held on July 13 at AIKO Greens, Dimapur.
In a press release, the NPA informed that the event will feature Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles, marking a significant milestone in promoting pickleball across the state since the establishment of the association in March 2025. The NPA extended invitation to interested players to register for the tournament.
In a build-up to the tournament, NPA said international pickleball player and coach Dilip Mohanty will conduct a special training clinic on July 12 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Mohanty, who is also the director of Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) India and a certified PPR coaches tutor (USA), brings globally recognized expertise to elevate player skills.

The NPA, under its president Nathan Zeliang, operates under the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), the National Sports Federation recognized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. NPA is further affiliated with the Global Pickleball Federation.
“The association extends best wishes to all participants and looks forward to advancing its mission of making pickleball Nagaland’s most accessible and celebrated sport,” the release added.
