The Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) conducted its first-ever Pickleball workshop on July 12 at Aiko Greens, Dimapur in collaboration with the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA).
The free workshop was led by Dilip Mohanty, a certified PPR coach from the United States, whose experience and passion for the sport brought value to the event. The workshop saw a good turnout of participants from various backgrounds and age groups — from curious beginners to local athletes looking to refine their skills.
“Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and seeing the excitement and energy here in Nagaland gives us confidence that the sport has a bright future in the Northeast,” said coach Mohanty.

The session, which ran from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, focused on basic techniques, game strategies, and real-time play demonstrations — creating a build-up for the upcoming 1st Nagaland Pickleball Open Tournament on July 13 at the same venue.
The NPA extends gratitude to all participants, supporters, and the press for their contribution towards this emerging sport in Nagaland.
