The Nagaland Pollution Control Board in collaboration with the District Administrator Dimapur held an interaction meet with all the colony leaders of Dimapur under National Clean Air Program (NCAP) at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on March 7, informed the DIPR.
Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, NCS addressing the gathering stressed on the need to act on pollution related problems immediately and added that the consequences for the future generation will be costly if not acted upon. He also emphasised on cleaning one’s house/compounds & surrounding and said that people should change the mind-set of depending on government to clean for them.

The Deputy Commissioner stated that Gandhiji’s vision of clean India is yet to be achieved, and encouraged the leaders of colonies/wards to put up pollution related proposal to the district administration for which he assured to look Into it.
Yanathung Kithan, Scientist ‘B’ NPCB, Akangmeren Imchen Scientist ‘B’ NPCB, Rongsenben Longkumer Junior Scientific Assistant, NPCB, Hanpong Konyak Junior Scientific Assistant, NPCB conducted a technical interaction with the members present.
Earlier, Member Secretary, NPCB, K Hukato Chishi, IFS delivered the keynote address.
