The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) held a commemoration ceremony marking the 139th Foundation Day of the Indian National Congress at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, on December 28.
Speaking on the occasion, Khriedi Theünuo, Working President NPCC, reflected upon the rich legacy of the Indian National Congress in the service of the Nation, and the untold sacrifices of Congress women and men throughout its 139 year history that helped build and shape the Nation, and the State, which we proudly call home today.

He also reminded the gathering about the continuity of the Nation building process, and the stewardship role expected of them as Congress ideologues in upholding the Secular, Democratic & Inclusive ethos of the Party upon which the idea of India was based upon. Similar commerative events celebrating the occasion were organised by the DCCs, ACCCs and other units and sub units of the party throughout the State, informed the Communications Department, NPCC.
