The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) Team along with DCC Kohima held an extended executive Meeting on September 29 at Congress Bhavan.
NPCC President, S Supongmeren Jamir in his speech stated, “After the analysis of the problems from the grassroots level, it is our responsibility to come together and help find solutions to the challenges faced by the people for the welfare of the entire community.”
Jamir also stressed on the need to reach out to the village and ward level and develop stronger connection in the grassroots among the members of the NPCC.
Stressing that the elected representatives and the people needed to come to a meeting point and at the same time urged the gathering to have good relationships with all and not think that they are part of the Opposition and work for the welfare of the state.
Speaking on the significance of the Principle of Congress Party, Khriedi Theünuo, Working President & i/c Kohima district, briefed on the past history and origin of the national party. Theünuo reminded the gathering of the responsibility handed to them by the founding members and maintained that the party was “always national in outlook and regional in contact”- a condition that was maintained since the birth of Congress.

Short speeches were delivered by 8th Western Angami ACCC, 9th Kohima Town ACCC, Northern Angami II ACCC, 12th Tseminyu ACCC, 14th Southern Angami I ACCC, 15th Southern Angami II ACCC where the representatives shared the grievances in the grassroots level. Party Workers from the JBM – state coordinator, representative, NSUI, Public Grievances Department, Seva Dal and NPYC also spoke at the event.
The program was chaired by Khruvishe Atomu, Working President DCC Kohima, invocation by Kecha Chüsi, PCC Member, 8th Western Angami, while the vote of thanks was presented by N Meren Longchar, Vice President, DCC Kohima.
