NPP Nagaland Unit takes key decisions to strengthen party structure and discipline

The National People’s Party (NPP), Nagaland State Unit held an emergency meeting on August 6 at the State Party Office, Dimapur under the leadership of State President,  A Nyamnyei Konyak, which was attended by State officials, along with representatives from the Youth and Minority Wings.

Several important decisions were made to streamline organizational functioning, enhance communication, and expand the party’s outreach and discipline mechanisms across the state.

During the meeting, a State Media Cell was constituted to oversee the dissemination of official information, coordinate media outreach, and project the party’s initiatives effectively to the public.

The members of Media Cell are Ranjit Singhvi – Convenor; James Vizo – Member Secretary; Yarmen – Member; and Lima Longchar – Member.

An Ad Hoc Disciplinary Committee was formed to uphold party discipline, address internal concerns, and guide members in accordance with party ethics. This committee will function temporarily until a permanent panel is appointed. The members of the Disciplinary Committee are Rokosalie – Convenor; Nukshi Jamir – Member Secretary; Ranjit Singhvi – Member; and A Nyamnyei Konyak – Ex-Officio Member.

During the meeting, Rosy Yanthan, State Vice-President, was officially appointed as Co-Incharge of the State Women Front to strengthen and mobilize women leadership and participation at all levels.

The house emphasized the importance of tribal and community representation across all State frontal units. The Dimapur District Unit was specifically instructed to form its frontal wings from within the district, ensuring fair inclusion of all local communities.

It was reaffirmed that no party member should directly approach the National President or any central leaders on party matters without the prior knowledge and approval of the State President. This measure is to uphold discipline and maintain the chain of command.

All District Units and Frontal Organizations have been strictly instructed to refrain from issuing any policy-related press statements without prior consultation with and approval from the State leadership.

Meanwhile, all NPP District Units have been directed to submit their updated District Executive Committee lists, including all frontal wings, along with complete addresses, contact numbers, and email IDs to the State Office on or before August 30.

The party resolved to hoist the National Flag on August 15 at 7:30 a.m. at the NPP State Party Office, Dimapur. All party members stationed in Dimapur have been directed to attend the ceremony positively and without fail.
