The Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has slammed ex-Congressman, Bobby Panicker for making “wild allegations” against Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) and its members. Panicker was expelled by NPCC earlier this year.

In an interview to NLTV, Panicker had claimed that he was ousted because of conspiracy and corruption within the Party.

In a press release, Keviphreo Kuotsu, Working President, NPYC, accused Panicker of “exploiting the good nature of our Naga people for decades” and said that he had the habit of levelling allegations against any leader he disagrees with. While clarifying that “Panicker is not the founding member of Congress in Nagaland and of the NECCC as claimed”, the Youth Congress also stated that he had “left the Congress party twice and rejoined later in accordance with his opportunistic politics.”

Further, it claimed that even the AICC leaders were “totally fed up” with him and therefore refused to revoke his expulsion made by NPCC.

The NPYC has also alleged “rampant mismanagement of the party organisation and funds” under the leadership of former NPCC president K. Therie and Panicker.

The Youth Congress has cautioned Panicker that it will not hesitate to resort to “picketing of his luxurious properties and expose them in the public domain to see which leader has benefitted at the expense of the party.” It also warned those working with Panicker to defame the Party to cease their activities immediately.
