NRFC and Nitsu Yan FC have booked their places for the final showdown of the 15th Lotha Football Championship (LFC) 2026 after winning their respective semifinal matches played at the Public Ground Wokha on Friday.
In the first semifinal, NRFC sealed a 2–1 win over Tsumang FC. Nyanthung gave NRFC an early breakthrough by scoring in the opening minute. The lead was extended in the 78th minute through Zuthungo. Tsumang FC attempted a comeback when Chumlanthung reduced the margin a minute later, but NRFC maintained their composure to defend their stance.
In the second semifinal, Nitsu Yan FC dominated the field to blank Yon Sporting Club 4–0. Zaremo opened the scoring for Nitsu Yan in the 17th minute before Ayenmongba struck twice, finding the net in the 41st and 68th minutes. Yiben Ezung added the fourth goal in the 78th minute to complete a comprehensive victory for the dominant Nitsu Yan side.

Earlier, the first semifinal was graced by Vungathung Murry, president of the Wokha District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WDCC&I) while the second match had Nzano Kikon, Deputy Chairperson, as the match patron.
The grand finale of the championship will be played on February 7 at 10 am. MLA Y. Mhonbemo Humtsoe will grace the occasion as the special guest, while K. Neibou Sekhose, AIFF Executive Committee Member and president Nagaland Football Association will attend as the special invitee during the closing ceremony.
