The Central Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Chakhesang Region, under the NSCN/GPRN, has issued a public notice warning residents of Phek district against involvement in illegal activities, including the sale of liquor, drug peddling, and extortion within the jurisdiction of the Phek.

According to its Code of Criminal Procedure, the group notified that no person or establishment is permitted to sell or distribute intoxicating liquor, and warned that all violators will be served with severe action.

The trafficking, sale and possession of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances are strictly prohibited by the NSCN/ GPRN, the notice stated.

It also cautioned that any individual or group involved in extorting money, imposing taxes on businessmen or individual using and defaming the NSCN/ GPRN will be prosecuted.
