NSCN/GPRN expresses gratitude for historic homecoming of Ato Kilonser Th. Muivah

The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN), through the Organizing Committee for the Hon’ble Ato Kilonser’s visit to his native birthplace Somdal Village, has issued a statement expressing profound appreciation and gratitude to the Naga people and all well-wishers for the grand success of the Homecoming event at Ukhrul on October 22 and the Civic Reception at Tahamzam (Senapati) on October 29, 2025, held in honour of Ato Kilonser, Th Muivah.

In a statement, Francis Ningshen, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, the NSCN/GPRN said the overwhelming love and support shown during the week-long visit had “made history” and “touched the hearts of the Naga people across generations.”

“Words may not suffice to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Naga people who have made a strong statement in the form of organizing a heart-touching Homecoming event at Ukhrul and a Civic Reception at Tahamzam,” the statement said. “History has been made, and generations to come will talk about the unprecedented public gathering proudly waving the Naga national flag. NSCN/GPRN is deeply touched, inspired, and rejuvenated by it more than anything.”

The Organizing Committee extended its profound gratitude to the United Naga Council (UNC) and its subordinate bodies, the Naga People’s Organization (NPO), All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Naga Women Union (NWU), Naga People’s Movement for Human Rights–South (NPMHR-S), Church leaders, the Naga Village Chief Federation (NVCF), and various frontal organizations from Ukhrul and Tahamzam, including students, teachers, and tribal choirs for their active participation and warm reception.

“Your impeccable gesture of reception extended towards our Hon’ble Ato Kilonser and his entourage during the entire one-week visit to his hometown Ukhrul, native village Somdal, and to Tahamzam has been truly remarkable, warm, and poignant,” the statement noted.

The NSCN/GPRN also expressed appreciation to Meetei, Meetei-Pangal, Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, and Gorkha Union civil organizations for their solidarity and participation, stating that “such gestures only strengthen our partnership in building a progressive and peaceful coexistence.”

Acknowledging the generous contributions made by individuals and groups, the Committee said, “We are indebted to all the donors who have generously contributed financial and material assistance to the Organizing Committee for the success of these events. May God continue to bless you and your family abundantly.”

Further, the Organizing Committee extended gratitude to the Government of India, district administrations of Ukhrul and Senapati, traffic police, medical personnel, and other departments for their cooperation and assistance during the visit.

“We are also thankful to all those who have shared their love and kindness to our Ato Kilonser and his lady wife with all the thoughtful gifts. It means a lot to them and will be cherished,” the statement added.

The Committee thanked every individual who attended the events “from every walk of life and from different places,” emphasizing that their presence made the occasion “more pleasant, meaningful, and historic.”
