The Indian Army and the Assam Police arrested an NSCN-IM cadre from Inthem Ghat in Pengree of Tinsukia district in Assam on 12th September and recovered war-like stores.

According to the press release from the PRO and Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, acting on credible information, the Indian Army troops and the Assam Police launched a joint search operation in the early hours on Thursday which resulted in the arrest of the cadre and recovery of two pistols, three grenades and ammunition.

The apprehended individual along with recoveries have been handed over to the Assam Police for further investigation and disposal.
