A day after NSCN-IM held a joint consultative meeting of its parliamentarians of Sumi Region & Union Territory (UT) on Friday at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur. A similar meeting was also conducted on 19 July between the Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) and parliamentarians.
On Fridays’s meeting, the leaders were reminded of the inception of Naga political movement and and how NSCN has stood “the ground to carry on the national burden to keep alive the Naga political rights despite desperate attempt made by the adversaries to destroy the Naga history and political rights in favour of the constitution of India”, MIP NSCN/GPRN informed in a press release.
At the meeting, given the need to maintain party discipline, members were also asked “to prove themselves as bona fide national workers shouldering the load of Naga political issue and face every situation from correct perspective and not be carried away easily.”
The members adopted a resolution to re-affirm its commitment to stand by the historic Framework Agreement of the 3rd of August 2015.
