NSCN IM has mourned its members who passed away due to varied reasons over the last few days. “NSCN/GPRN is deeply indebted for the service rendered by them for the dear cause of the Naga political issue and for which they have given their best,” the MIP stated in its press release. It added that their sacrificial spirits and dedication for the Naga nation shall be recorded in the pages of Naga history.”
Conveying its condolences to the bereaved families, NSCN IM prayed that the Almighty God grant them the strength and comfort to bear the loss. It is our wish and prayers that their souls rest in eternal peace, it said.
The departed members include:
– RK Prescila, Member of Steering Committee, NSCN, of Zailad Region, GPRN. She passed away on 15th January, 2024 after prolong illness.
– Mayarshang Zimik, Razou Peyu, GPRN. He is from Hangkokaphung under WTR, GPRN. He passed away on 17th January, 2024 due to illness.
– Maj. (Retd.) Jessie Pamei, Deputy Kilonser of Zailad Region, GPRN. He died on 28th January, 2024 at Dimapur after prolong illness.
– K.Luke, Tatar, from Khongdei Khuman village under SPMTH Region, GPRN. He passed away on February 1, 2024 due to illness.
– Temsumongba, Khapur of Longmisa village under Ao Region, GPRN. He died on February 7th 2024 due to illness.
– Corporal (posthumous) Lovingson Yangting Kaham of Huthrong Brigade from Angkaiongdi village under Thangal-Maram Region, GPRN. He passed away on 4th February 2024, due to brief illness.
– 2nd Lieutenant Mungshang Ashang of AC Battalion from Kachaophung village, WTR, GPRN. He died on 5th February, 2024 due to cardiac arrest.
– Capt (posthumous) Wungmareo from Phalee village under WTR, GPRN. He was posted at GHQ at the time of his death.
– P.Keng, Razou Peyu, GPRN under Maram-Thangal Region, GPRN. He is from Ngatan village. He died on 13th February, 2024, in hit and run incident.
