The Chairman of the Konyak Region of NSCN-Reformation (Akato Chophy) identified as Temzei of Wangla village, Tizit under Mon district of Nagaland was allegedly beaten to death by NSCN-IM and the body was dumped at Namsa, Tizit.

Three more cadres of NSCN-Reformation (Akato Chophy) are seriously injured, as per reliable source.

It is also revealed that the apprehended cadres had been tortured by NSCN-IM cadres and the said  Chairman Temzei died due to physical torture and the remaining three cadres are still under the NSCN-IM custody.

The four NSCN-Reformation (Akato Chophy) were said to had been apprehended by NSCN-IM from Tizit on 30 July for illegal tax collection.
