The Nagaland State Cooperative Union (NSCU) organised a day-long capacity building training for chairpersons and secretaries of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) from Dimapur, Niuland, and Chümoukedima districts on May 27. The training was held at the NSCU Conference Hall in Dimapur and saw participation of representatives from 25 PACS.
The initiative focused on equipping cooperative leaders with knowledge and skills to effectively manage their societies and implement reforms. A major objective of the training was to prepare office bearers, secretaries, accountants, and managers of PACS identified under the Ministry of Cooperation’s computerization initiative. The program aimed to ensure uniformity in accounting systems across states and enhance overall management capabilities within cooperative societies.
Throughout the event, emphasis was placed on the importance of accurate record-keeping, conflict resolution, and leadership development. Attendees were encouraged to improve their administrative and governance skills to guide their societies towards better efficiency and accountability.
